November to April is regarded as the best time to be in the Caribbean weather-wise. There is a huge choice of different islands, hotels and resorts to choose from to suit all budgets. If you have got time for a fortnight break think about combining a week’s culture or wildlife spotting in Sri Lanka with a week on a desert island in the Maldives. The two are easily combined and offer a brilliant contrast.
While you can go to Vietnam just to relax on the beach there is so much more to do - enjoy an overnight cruise in Halong Bay and stroll around the graceful capital Hanoi. In the centre of the country the old imperial capital of Hue has the best monuments and a couple of hours south is everyone’s favourite spot; Hoi An. Here the atmospheric old trading town is the perfect base to relax perhaps at one of the fabulous nearby beach hotels. Elsewhere do not miss out on frenetic Ho Chi Minh city or think about one of the beautiful beach areas of the south such as Con Dao.
Thailand offers the perfect honeymoon destination where you can combine the bright lights of Bangkok and a trip to the hills & jungles of the north with a picture postcard beach in the Gulf of Thailand – at this time of year famous Koh Samui or Koh Phangan. Not only do these beautiful places offer a variety of hotel types but Thailand is generally extremely good value so it’s a good opportunity to really treat yourselves, especially in Bangkok.

There are a host of cultural options if you want, and Istanbul has some wonderful hotels, or there a number of beach options. The southern Turquoise coast, with its forest clad slopes, is beautiful and has a number of charming boutique hotels and what about a private gulet cruise?
A brilliant way to combine adventure and relaxation on your honeymoon is to look at a Safari and Beach combination – Tanzania is perfect for this. July is one of the best months of the year to travel and, if you want, you can catch the migration herds as they make their way into the Northern Serengeti before jetting down to the beach on the Indian Ocean island of Zanzibar. Tanzania offers all forms of safari options up to the ultimate in luxury and Zanzibar likewise has choices for all budgets.
Only 3.5 hours away and with a host of island and mainland options Greece is the ideal summer honeymoon destination. Santorini has some of the most spectacularly located hotels but you should also consider Crete, Mykonos or Corfu. There are also good choices on the mainland such as Halkidiki, in the north, or in the Peloponnese region, where you can combine a beach stay with fantastic sightseeing. If you are looking for something different how about your own private villa?

One of the ultimate safari destinations heading to Botswana for your honeymoon would be a real adventure. This is peak season here with the animals congregating around waterholes and clear skies.
